Whewwwww. Yesterday was INSANE. The interview went well, don't worry. The only thing is that I learned I'm one out of 500 other applicants...and I'm not 100% sure about my chance of getting it. I'm praying anyway. It sounds like SUCH a great job. Great benefits, great people to work with, great great great!
The chaos started after the interview. I went to Target to pick up some stuff for myself and mom, and when I came back....ohhhh man. I glance at my trunk while it opens and what's there? A big 'ol dent! I mean, it isn't really huge, but it's significant enough. No note, no insurance info, nothing. Just a dent on my beautiful baby car. And one of the back lights is scratched a little. Ugh.
So since this doesn't happen to me, I call my parents. Dad tells me to call the police and file a report. Holy moly, the Marion County Police sure keep people on hold a long time. After being on hold for 10-15 minutes (which is a long time when you're just sitting there listening to fuzzy elevator music), I tell the police lady what happened and she tells me I can leave the area and an officer will call me back. So I leave and distribute my Starbucks applications to the Starbucks downtown (there are two, only a block away from each other). The officer calls while I'm leaving a message on someone's voicemail and instead of ringing, my phone just tells me I have a voicemail. So I listen to it and it's the police. I call her back and she tells me she will contact the person who called me and he or she will call me back. Playing phone tag with the police, what fun. So I take my last application to the Starbucks in West Salem and sit in my car waiting for the police to call, because what if they want to see my car and I'm on my way home? One reason I'm not 100% thrilled that I live in the sticks. Anyway....about 20 minutes later they call me and file the report. Then the lady thanks me for being responsible. How sweet. Just wish I hadn't had to stay in Salem an extra hour.
The fun doesn't stop there. After I get home, mom informs me that the landline at Grandma's (where I'm living) has been making weird noises all day. I listen and sure enough, it's making this weird loud staticy sound. So I can't go online or call anyone. Lame. Dad tries to fix it and all of a sudden it stops and goes back to the normal dial tone. I go online and just as I'm about to check my email, I get disconnected and when I pick up the phone the weird noise is back. It stayed all night.
The noise was gone this morning, which made me think it was just a weird phone thing. But when I came home from Salem (Hollie and I were frolicking downtown) the noise was back. Now it's gone. I don't know what the heck is going on. I'd really like things to go back to normal.
Today WAS fun though. Hollie and I went to the carousel. So fun. Then we wandered around downtown. We went to the BookBin and found some very interesting postcards. While going through them, we found several with writing on the back. A lot of them were for the same people. Pretty random. We had a good kick out if it though. OH! And they had a Wonder Woman action figure at the bookstore! Hollie was very tempted to get it down from the shelf but I talked her into leaving it alone. Whew! hahaha.
Okay. This is long enough and I'm kinda tired. Hasta!
p.s: it's not letting me post a pic of the dent....so I'll have to try again later.
