WHEW!

Capstone is driving me crazy! I simply can't be a journalist. I just can't take risks with writing like this. It freaks me out! I want a nice, quiet, office job where I can do paperwork that matters...or even for now, that doesn't matter. I just need SOMETHING. Anyway...that was my little freak-out for today. Well, so far. I still have two people to call. I just want this freaking project over already! I hate it!

Anyway...some good news...I got my SHEdaisy CD finally, after like a month. Turns out the guy and his partner both thought the other had sent it, and no one sent it. So he gave me a $5 refund with the CD. So I got the CD for $5, instead of $10. Pretty awesome. Haven't listened to it yet, but I know it's going to be good. I went to their concert earlier this summer.

More good news...I got a letter from my friend Jen in Seattle. I miss her so! We haven't seen each other for like 3 years. And I haven't heard from her since last fall or so. So it was good to hear from her now. Things are good in her world, which is nice.

And then here's some not-so-good news...my friend's mother-in-law-to-be is dying of cancer and my friend has had to postpone her wedding for like the 4th time this summer. Basically right now they're just waiting until the mother passes away because she's so sick now they know she has little time left. It's so sad, I talked to my friend the other day and she could hardly talk about it. So if any of you could pray for that, it would be great. Maggie (Portland Maggie, aka Bagpipes) is the one getting married, and her mother-in-law-to-be is Demiana. Please pray that the family can get through this without too much pain and also that Demiana passes away quietly. They've had one long summer of sickness and craziness, and all they need now is some peace with the situation.

I think that's about all....there are lots of things going on but I really don't want to go into EVERYTHING now...so I'm going to leave it at this. If you think about it, pray that I get my story done on time and that my teacher doesn't send it back and instead just emails me a date of when it will be published so I can make arrangements to get a copy or two. That's the biggest thing right now. Well, that and getting a job. But capstone really needs to be over, NOW.
